Every year, Greenhouse Software holds a multi-day conference in New York City called OPEN. The event is centered around ideas and innovation in HR recruiting. This year’s conference theme “Meet the Talent Makers” needed a design system that could do heavy lifting across many tactics and channels. Most importantly in signage and digital screens at the Jacob Javits Center and the after party at a westside pier. We created an identity that seemed natural for the OPEN 19 name that focused on the Talent Makers themselves. It’s logomark is a framing device that uses a simple white box putting people at the center of OPEN 19.

Using a color palette and secondary plant illustrations that sit well within Greenhouse’s main brand, we made a flexible system that worked across motion design, web, swag, hanging banners, and signage. The framing elements also ran throughout the conference as physical installations within the event space.

As a final addition, we created a sub-identity that moved to a hotter color palette for the after party screens. What became a four minute looped animation acted as an exciting backdrop for the party’s performers and energy of the end of day celebration.

A huge success, this year’s conference raised the bar on all levels for Greenhouse OPEN into the future.
